Discography

Discography is a procedure that is used to test if various intervertebral discs generate pain. Most commonly, the test is ordered by a spinal surgeon in anticipation for disc replacement. During the procedure, a very small needle is placed into the disc and material is injected while the patient is awake to see if it can reproduce the pain that the pain typically has.
